Helgoland is pleased to present Deven Marriner …upon the Present, the second exhibition in the gallery’s 2026 curatorial program.

Through sustained processes of drawing and repetitive mark-making, Marriner’s new body of work explores relationships between time, perception and lived experience. Circular forms, accumulations of line and subtle shifts in rhythm unfold through duration, inviting slower forms of attention and contemplation.

Accompanying the exhibition is a new essay by Dr Sean Lowry, Shapes of Duration.
